The downside to training management products is the inability to upload any other 3rd party authoring tool or courses from an off the shelf vendor. Yeah, you can upload word docs, PPT, etc. My take – no vendor should ask for your credit card during a trial. With some vendors you are grouped together with other prospects.

Resources – docs, video/audio files, podcasts, PPT, etc. PDF, docs, clips – nearly the same as resources – again, repetitive. But you do not need research to present information that many folks in e-learning already know – that people tend to use the same features over and over again.

Google Docs – ever heard of em? I would argue that vendors such as Mindflash.com and Knoodle are hybrid solutions, after all their main feature is their content authoring tool. Although, I would state from Knoodle’s perspective the tool is equally a presentation solution. Vendors to Watch. Projection.
