Captivate 2017 added a new workflow for developing responsive projects: Fluid Boxes. It doesn’t mean that the existing workflows to make projects accessible with all devices are no longer important. If you want to publish a project to be accessible from any device, you have to ignore the still available Captivate SWF output!

I first thought this to be a limitation of HTML5 (first article was for SWF output) and tested it out. The demo file has two TEB’s on the second slide. I used a similar user variable name for the second TEB: ‘ v_name ‘ Check the Variables list under Project, Variables. This is the link to the forum thread.

I’ve used GSAP within Captivate to a small extent and I really like the flexibility it gives to create smooth and unique animations pretty quickly (downside being you have to publish the Captivate project each time you want to preview it). I now have a problem where the formatting of my slides has changed substantially and now appear all over the place. And when I look at the slide in the published version it is different again. This effects nearly every slide in the project. I can’t fix it on the original slides because they appear fine there.
