Experiencing eLearning

When I talk to people about starting a blog, they often state they don’t have anything to write about. They ask how I come up with ideas, especially when I’ve been blogging so long. As I approach my ninth anniversary of starting this blog, I feel like I have more to write about than I did after one year. I have a long list of blog topics to help me when I’m in a rut. 4 Lessons Learned (About Learning) From Blogging

InSync Training

My knowledge of blogging was initially acquired as a graduate student for a social media course. Dr. Andrew Klobucar, who was the professor at NJIT for my social media course, stressed that social media as a whole—which included blogs—had the role of creating community. Our assignment involved choosing one of these categories, then creating and/or curating content to support a particular community through a blog. I discovered that blogging was a self-learning tool.

What was once meant for blogging has evolved to a content management system, learning management system, forums, social networking, event booking, ecommerce, and so on. Given the ease-of-use of WordPress, there was a time when teachers all over the world would start a class blog.
