We managed to let people connect beforehand through a platform (ning ) and afterwards link participants to other networks or initiatives (like the outcome mapping community ). Last year we experimented with a ning platform, a twitter account and a few videos. In ning, there is a new application which is called member-mix.

Through Google, I find a lot of information. I also signed up to a couple Ning communities where I'm lurking. It also allows you to ask the best kind of question - I've searched on the web and in this community for information on X and I found A, B, C. But in many cases, I will still be left feeling uncomfortable.
