Live Transcriptions & Closed Captions in Google Slide Presentations. Here’s an example of live transcription and closed captions in Google Slides. I’m asked to review courses all the time and one of the most frustrating things is to go through the course and find the developer has locked every slide. I usually put a button in one of the corners that gives me quick access to slides. Sometimes, the button just skips the slide. Create a slide with menu links.

You don’t need print-quality images for elearning courses. I usually get my images from Fotolio or iStockphoto but there are dozens of good stock image sites. This can be problematic because when you modify the aspect ratio of the slide, it means the existing content may get skewed or require a bunch of tweaking to get it re-aligned. The free download includes the original images as well as a folder with images cropped to 16:9 so they fit perfectly in 16×9 slides. Once it’s ready to go live, they need to be removed from the slide. This gets rid of them, but if you need to go back and edit the slide, you need to recreate the references. Move them off the slide. How to insert the 3D model in PowerPoint: Create a slide and then select a 3D object. Duplicate the slide (we’ll need this for the video). The first slide is the starting point from which the 3D object rotates. The second slide is the rotation point. The second slide is the rotation point. Pretty slick, huh?

Not only is this more visually appealing than a slide of text, but the diagram itself can come in handy as an abbreviated way to refer back to steps in the process throughout the course.
