Adobe Flash has been a productive tool for authoring these courses. But, it suffered from the drawback that OS platforms of latest handheld devices don’t extend support for Flash. HTML5 has superseded Flash as a viable option for authoring eLearning courses because it is supported by all smartphones and tablets.

If it in my mind one of the best ten products to hit the e-learning cycle in the last five years. I mean the first Storyline, sweet and then here comes a new version, from a company not known to push out new products for a period of years – must rock. Tutorials when opening the product – Good, but.

Do Rise courses use Flash? Rise courses do not use flash. They are created solely in HTML5. Where iOS devices weren’t flash compatible, they do love HTML5, so your iPhone and iPad will have no issues with seeing the modules as you intended! Where can I find tutorials for Rise? Chrome (iOS 8 or later).

The ability to record audio in real time or post time makes a lot of sense and eliminates the need for using Audacity (albeit it is a wonderful and free product). I’m not overly sold on HD for online tutorials. Flash vs. HTML5. and then add text boxes, lines, etc.
