I’ve used GSAP within Captivate to a small extent and I really like the flexibility it gives to create smooth and unique animations pretty quickly (downside being you have to publish the Captivate project each time you want to preview it). Initially I thought this might have to be exported as a SWF).

In the past (SWF output) I sometimes used Project audio, which was distributed over all the slides, using the Audtion roundtripping. This workflow should be avoided now, because that would mean that the full project audio has to be loaded on the first slide, which will lead to considerably long waiting time.

For those reasons I suspect it is Time to update that old article, to explain the ins and outs of the Timeline panel including features like CPVC-projects and slides, Effect Timelines, Drag&Drop, which were added in more recent versions. When clicking the Eye button on top, all objects in all tracks will be hidden on the stage.

So instead of using Flash to build a SWF, you’re using PowerPoint to build a SWF. In other elearning applications, you have a screen with a layered play track. There are some things in the demo that I would have changed if it was a real project but I left them because I can talk about what I’d do different.
