Interesting post by Dan Pontefract where he provides definitions of some different "2.0" It's worth taking a look at some of these: Enterprise 2.0 is the use of Web 2.0 concepts in an organization; thus, failure to drive its introduction may result in redundant platforms/processes & confused employees Learning 2.0

Twitter is Much Better than I Thought for Learning I used to say during presentations that I wasn’t quite sure about twitter as a learning tool. Not surprising, the terms most closely associated with Adoption are Adoption of Social Software and Adoption of Enterprise 2.0. Great article - How Wikipedia Works (or Doesn't) that looks at Andrew McAfee's experiences around the " Enterprise 2.0 " article and Wikipedia 's Articles for Deletion process. At the bottom of the article, the author interviews Andrew about the use of Wikis in the enterprise. I said, "Here is the bare -bones schedule.

One of the things we are doing this year is asking speakers to keep their presentations to 25-30 minutes so that we have lots of times to have discussions. I'm particularly looking forward to discussions around: How information services and enterprise 2.0 are intersecting with Learning / eLearning? Where does social really fit?

I presented the discussion forum as a solution to this problem, in that it would reduce the number of emails they receive because the information would not be in their in-box, and more importantly would allow discussion between the all the members (one to many) rather than one to one or one to a few. .

Do they communicate outside of the slow mechanisms of presentations, articles, books? At a Web 2.0 event that I moderated, one of the speakers was Matt Glotzbach, Head of Products at Google Enterprise. Thus, much of the focus of Google Enterprise was to see what works in the consumer space and help bring it to the enterprise.

The convener had heard me speak on the performance ecosystem (via Enterprise 2.0, The concept I was promoting was to write tightly around definitions for introduction components, concept presentations, examples, practice items, etc. And, of course, me.
