There were about 7 examples mentioned including Intuit using a Wiki-like system for customers to ask questions/get advice around taxes, using a group blog with students prior to a formal learning event, the US Army's use of collaboration tools to share best practices in Iraq, and several others. Choose the top 3-5. There were a few others.

Twitter has APIs, so does Facebook, even Linkedin. Examples: Post your status update in Linkedin and it appears in Twitter. Post your blog and status - appears in Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo. Social Media Solutions that have multiple APIs built in their system, basically they are a mashup in a sense. API Protocols.

Because the iPad can connect through Wi-Fi and 3G (depending on the model) and has a screen size that makes text legible, it’s ideal for mobile social media activities. According to the The New York Times , Facebook will soon incorporate location’ in two ways: its own features for sharing location and APIs to let other sites and apps offer location services to Facebook users. Linkedin tied into Twitter is an example of APIs. 67% have a Facebook account. Mobile Learning.
