The question is “what is the best way to create a video based training course in Saba?” Use a player template in saba that will serve as the table of contents for the course. In Saba I do not have the ability to specify the size of a SCO window that is “popped up” from the table of contents. I love the deep learning component where courses are recommended based on a set of variables – which for Saba is courses/content taken or completed, skills and profiles. . If I was to compare the Big Dog Four – SuccessFactors, Saba, Cornerstone OnDemand and SumTotal by Skillsoft, Saba would win hands down. Welcome, welcome all!

Has a built-in player for 100% HTML5 courses (1st in the market) which can be launched within their system. Now, vendors do not switch their pricing structure and some components to match another, unless they see that they are legitimate players.

The biggest player is Panopto who also is in the corporate space, but personally, i think VLPs didn’t innovate enough and drive forward with stronger video functionality. MediaCore was a big time player, then they got acquired by Workday. What they are thinking is that they think all LMSs are Cornerstone, Saba, SumTotal, SuccessFactors, and they are not. Let me ask you an honest question. What is your personality type? Are you a Type A? Maybe a Type B?

Q : I am curious on why Cornerstone On Demand, Saba and SumTotal do not appear in your top twenty lists even though they appear on other sites as the best products in the market. Saba - A solid system, but IMO (in my opinion) better suited for talent/performance management. It used to be that people would mention CoD, SumTotal and Saba when they were looking at those three platforms – at least to me they would – but nowadays, I don’t hear that.

While I do not know who WD will focus on in the market, my belief is that it will be SuccessFactors (an easy win), Cornerstone (mixed results), Oracle (victory!), SAP (if they can’t win this one, they shouldn’t be in the game), SumTotal Learn (mixed results – and how important – unknown) and to a very lesser degree Saba.
