Some vendors are making this change in such a way, that learning (as defined by a LMS) is becoming smaller, while the drive to TPM is becoming stronger and is driven internally to make this happen. While vendors are adding this module or it already exists, increased sales are being pushed into this space, as it shows enormous growth.

Case in point, one vendor who had a RFP on their site, for anyone to download, had statements in there – that truly applied to their product. There is no reason in 2011, to use a RFP that is 20 pages or more. The LMS market as it relates to online learning and web based training courses has been around for less than 13 years.
