PowerPoint is for Presentations, not for creating an e-learning course or as part of your course development. And I say this as someone who uses PPT with cool designs and such for presenting seminars, webinars, or making a presentation to a company – if they request such a visual. Lots to like. Because it was bad and continues to be, at least with vendors and I have seen it with everyday consumers too. . A couple of weeks ago, a vendor in the micro-learning content space sent me a newsletter, where – wait for it. Adobe Presenter. Why is this even still out there? the time to move on has come.

There were other offerings, such as Adobe Presenter, but Studio was the preferred tool for corporate – internally speaking (not out sourced). The first half of the decade, saw a drop in the number of vendors offering a built-in authoring, but by the end of the decade, the numbers were starting up again.

Bewildered on what is happening, why what is needed isn’t appearing as it should, and how is it possible that something so obvious based on where e-learning is heading, mobile is pushing and future tech is inspiring is lost among so many vendors? And therein lies one of the issues, that is showing up with many, many vendors.

Adobe Presenter. Can record you via a web cam, your voice and also you can upload slides – presentation for example. Able to zoom in on certain slides or even the presenter. A web cam valued at $100 (according to Adobe). However there were plenty of vendors who had — NOTHING. FIRST DOWN.
