The hybrid model worked for many, but unless your customer base are blue-collar, or front-line and thus have to physically be on site, then it is out the door. There are some good ones out there, and from a learning system standpoint some vendors in the B2B/B2C market are adding this capability. YouTube and folks like Coursera.

I remember seeing some pricing online by a LMS vendor and then when I got the contract it had different pricing on it. You see they had items you needed but they did not mention it on their web site. If it is high or get it fixed now – then someone or some folks are busting their buns (it is a Rated PG site here) to solve it.

I saw a lot more folks than in previous shows and more e-learning vendors too. Equally there were several ILT vendors who had some type of online learning thing going on. Yes, it has the video appearance of YouTube. Yes, you can use YouTube, but here is the sweet spot for me – deep learning.

I cannot stress this enough, today in the social networking (only one type of social media) there are over 300 social network sites, inc. niche sites. E-Learning 24/7. If GeoLearning wants to pitch itself as a cutting edge solution and understanding where the market is headed, I would think they would see HTML5 as a reality, especially since the new browsers will all support it, some web sites are already starting to build in it, tablets fully utilize it and YouTube has created a beta for it.
