But as HTML5 is now growing as default standard, I just republished my old Captivate projects in HTML5, but it is not giving any output in HTML5. Pool) in the project.

I am attempting to embed short (10 sec) video files to a captivate 2019 project and publish it as an swf file. When viewing the swf file, the videos appear to be attempting to load (i get loader icon indications) but the video never loads. I need this video saved into the swf file, if at all possible.

At that point, it would be a simple matter of adding hotspots and text to the backgrounds to create interactive eLearning. Like magic, my iPad was projected to my MacBook Pro.

I have a Captivate project loaded from MS Power Point, linked with high fidelity and slide duration, set to advance automatically. When looking at the whole project, it looks fine, all animation works. This occurs in the swf version and in the slide preview on Captivate, strangely not in the HTML5 version. What is going on here?

Fortunately, adding interactivity to a lesson does not negatively impact the size of the published SWF. Rather, imported assets such as audio, video and images are the main culprits behind SWF bloat. The common way to publish a completed Captivate eLearning video is as a SWF (small web file). When the publish process is complete, you will end up with three files: an HTML file (which is what your learner will need to open the lesson in a web browser), a JavaScript file (called standard.js) and the SWF containing your lesson.

In an ideal world, your Captivate projects would be kept to a respectable number of slides (fewer than approximately 100). Larger projects will take longer to produce, longer to publish, longer for learners to download and, most importantly, longer to complete. Choose File > New Project > Aggregator Project.

I pointed out that HTML5 is an alternative publishing format to a SWF. Unlike SWFs, projects published as HTML5 will not only play on the Apple  iPad, iPhone and the iPod, but the lessons will retain any interactivity that you added to the slides (such as click boxes and buttons).

While your published SWF will be smaller when compared to using the other modes listed here, this setting will lower the quality of the published images so much, you may not like it. I am not able to publish one of my projects to computer (SWF/HTML5) though I have had no trouble publishing other similar projects which also have the same selections in publish settings or preferences under Edit and Quiz. I was able to publish this project in SWF only. but still cannot resolve the problem.
