It turns out I was right that the problem has something to do with the zipped SCORM package. I believe the problem could be that the SCORM package and the html file require more bandwidth and higher modem speeds. I came to this conclusion by posting a link to just the.swf file and it works great for the users who had issues.

Through my research I found that many other people struggle with the same problem especially when Moodle is installed on a hosted non dedicated server which is the situation I am in. Problem is that if you are on a hosted server sometimes you don't have access to this file through the Cpanel.

After reading " Job Aids & Performance Support " by Allison Rosset , and " Analyzing Performance Problems " by Robert Mager and Peter Pipe, I am sold on the notion that a "course" is not always the answer and if a "course" is the answer it is crucial to conduct an analysis to produce an effective instructional product.

I ran into a strange problem using an html file produced in Camtasia by TechSmith and delivered through Moodle that must be common amongst Camtasia and Moodle users. It was an annoying issue but easy to resolve with the help of the Moodle community and it always feels good to solve a problem.

Everity was recommended to me as a web host and everything went well minus a small password problem. You may have read previous posts of mine describing the problems I have with learners computers freezing on SCORM based Captivate projects. This is no problem with Articulate. However, I am using Captivate 3 and I have heard that this is not as much of a problem in Captivate 4.

Problem solved for now but after talking with my software developer friend it sounds like it might not be too difficult to connect Moodle to an existing database for an HR program with all of the needed user information. What would have taken days ended up taking a few minutes with the help of my handy Crystal report.

The only problem with this is that ILT may not even have been a consideration for this. Another way to prove the value of eLearning with this project would be to calculate how much this would cost if we did it through instructor led training then compare that to the cost of eLearning.

The problem with this is that the technical support staff was too busy to provide the one on one coaching that many people needed. Many learners had a difficult time fully understanding the in's and outs of unique situations by reading instructions on the Wiki.

Needless to say this scared the crap out of me so I fired off an email to the support team at Everity web hosting who responded within minutes with a resolution to my problem. It's going to take a few hours before I can be sure that the problem is solved but it sounds like a good solution.
