When I couldn’t figure out how to delete a lecture, for example, I found the solution via someone else who had raised a similar problem. Udemy has actually been around since 2010, but I only recently decided to dabble in it. The help resources are helpful.

32kbps was the smallest file size in his sampling. tags: captivate , e-learning , audio , audacity. The most surprising finding in this is that at the lowest bitrates, the file size actually went up, not down. So basically from what I can see there is no point in ever going below 32kbps as you're gaining filesize and losing quality.

There are a lot of open source options out there as well, including Audacity, Reaper, and NCH Software. One thing to look for when getting an audio converter is the quality at which it captures sound (the sample rate and bit depth capability). The lowest you would want to record at is 44.1khz/16bit (CD quality).

Take a sample recording. I recommend taking a sample recording with your microphone you’re going to use and then go ahead and listen to that recording. You can export your audio tracks to clean them up in a tool like Audacity, but you may end up needing to and re-sync your audio and video again. Here’s one last tip.
