Today I continue the retrospective with a review of the years 2003-2005. The first of the 'giants' was launched in August of 2003. Just a couple of months later in October 2003, Mark Zuckerberg launched a small scale service for his friends and colleagues called Facemash at Harvard University. for a small fee.

Jukey is an Android music player, designed to mimic a Jukebox. It allows guest to easily browse through a music collection and enqueue songs. I started developing mobile apps in 2003 on the Windows Mobile platform and PalmOS (such as they were). Jukey is an iOS music player, designed to mimic a Jukebox.

Here are a few things that I’ve tried in the last couple of years that I’ve pinched directly from my years in front of the Playstation: The use of music to change emotional state; to bypass conscious processing of information. The use of music in e-Learning? Whos really used music in e-Learning to good effect?

If we time jumped from then to 2009, the way we now communicate, learn, search for information, share content and consume entertainment would be unrecognisable. The music industry must be rubbing its hands with glee. YouTube: Freaking out, spoofing, parodies, pirated music videos and plenty of dross - that's YouTube for you.
