PowerPoint 2007: Converting Presentations to Movies

I am frequently asked if it is possible to convert PowerPoint presentations into movies that can be shared on websites such as YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook. However, there is a workaround if you have Windows Movie Maker  on your system (most computers using Windows do have the program by default).   Select Every Slide.

PowerPoint 2010: Converting Presentations to Movies

In previous versions of PowerPoint, converting presentations to movies  could be a bit of a laborious task.   Do a run-through of your presentation to make sure there is an adequate amount of time between slide transitions and any animation effects you may have added and make any necessary changes. .   Click Save.

PowerPoint 2008 for the Mac: Inserting YouTube Videos

This week I'm going to show you how to do the same thing, but in PowerPoint 2008 for the Mac. In PowerPoint, ensure that you are working on the slide where you would like insert the video. The Insert Movie dialog box appears. When you view your slide show, simply click the video to play it. Copy the URL for the video.

PowerPoint 2007: Insert YouTube Videos, Part 2

You can choose either avi or wmv , but if you will be following along next week to learn how to insert YouTube videos into PowerPoint 2008 for the Mac, I would choose wmv. In PowerPoint, select the slide on which you would like to insert the video. On the Insert tab choose Movie > Movie from File.

PowerPoint: Playing Audio Sequentially. and Automatically

If you know that the first audio file ends after 1:35 and you'll be on your third slide then, then you would put the second audio file on the third slide and set it to play after 1:35.    Insert the audio file on the slide on which you would like the audio to begin ( Insert > Audio ).

Over the next few weeks I will show you how to insert YouTube videos into PowerPoint 2007 (both with and without an internet connection) and PowerPoint 2008 for the Mac. Draw a box on your slide and size it as desired to contain your video. Locate Movie and paste in the URL for the video you would like to use. and delete it.
