Im concerned that women will be excluded if such a focus is put on gaming skills -- or at least the gamer label. In Gamasutra, John Henderson has posted about a summary of a presentation by Dona Bailey. Im just raising some questions. I dont have a conclusion here. I can see how theorists might argue that reading text aloud to the learner addresses multiple "learning styles," but the real-world experience is one of frustration: you want to read ahead but you cant because the narrator reads more slowly than you do. Im with you. But I just thought that was my learning style. Youre right.

How much of the pedagogy used by IDs is less to do with learning and more to do with design? And by asking this, Im not suggesting that design isnt important, for it is - its seen by some as part of the pedagogy. Some claiming to be IDs have no idea how to present information, how to logically order the presentation, or how to write.

In Rapid Project Management Techniques for e-Learning presented by Coates & Hill of Deloitte, they outlined their approach to creating a big enterprise-wide training program in an extremely aggressive timeframe. If youre providing SMEs with the templates, Im not sure theyll be altering them. I think this is a good vision.
