Enterprise Learning Systems – How I love thee?

Today, very few vendors offer this depth. The system ran on a 56K modem, even 38K, which I often had. And Ditto on the 3rd party content, including one vendor who figured out how to create a video with bookmarks and chapters that streamed without issue on a 56K modem.  Vendors expect use cases. And it worked well.

Back in the mid 2000’s and then again, around 2010-12, the summer was a dead zone for vendors. What does this have to do with purchasing a learning system?

ChatGPT, Gen-AI and Learning Systems – The Latest

The Learning Library BTW, has a few sections around Gen-AI, including comparisons between Claude and ChatGPT, ChatGPT Plus, and Claude Pro. One Learning System vendor told me they hired a consultant to provide them with a recommendation for the LLM they should use. Thought Industries is one such vendor.

Why, would a system that pushes heavily around the customer education/partner training segment, acquire a vendor who does the complete opposite? If Valamis wanted to push heavy and truly commit to the CE segment, they would have acquired a vendor who has capabilities or features or even themselves plays in the CE side.
