The TIPP learning theory showed me to be Traditional Personal with a visual preference (although I was also high on the auditory scale). One test showed me to be a VKA learner (Visual, Kinesthetic, Auditory). Its so easy to take one of these tests and skew your own results. United States License.

The MBA is fine, but you have to have experience and education (formal, certification or informal) in learning theory and learning design. I see the MBA remark as a metaphor: in the corporate world, youre not a learning academic. This type of learning is not rewarded, and is somehow viewed as not valid.

Adult learning theory? Along with a handful of other titles, some less glorified than others. :) I say its all about vision, creativity, passion for the learner experience, a good design sense, solid writing skills. This industry is too caught up in abstract thinking and not attentive enough to the actual products they are creating.
