Free clip art was easy because in PowerPoint you could always right-click and ungroup them for easy editing. In that case you’ll need to learn to use an image editing program. If you don’t already own one, Paint.net is free and Photoshop Elements is inexpensive and more than enough to handle basic editing tasks.

I use it all the time to pull colors from images when I work in PowerPoint. So unless you really need to use the power of an application like Photoshop, you might find that you can get away with something like Paint.net. I usually record my audio directly in the rapid elearning tools. Pixie is a simple color picker.

Starting with PowerPoint 2007, there are many features that make the rapid elearning process much more efficient. PowerPoint lets me add all sorts of cool effects and shadows. Simple as that.
