PowerPoint is great for simple graphic design projects. In a previous post, I shared visual design tips for graphics I built in Rise 360 for an e-learning scenario. I created a custom slide size 13 x 4 inches. When I save the PowerPoint slides as images that results in an image that is 1280 x 384 pixels.

Originally, the interactive scenario started as a PowerPoint file that was published with Articulate Studio to demonstrate how to create simple branched scenarios in PowerPoint. Since PowerPoint is linear and doesn’t offer tracking logic, it requires a lot of slides to create the illusion of movement and branching complexity.

This can be problematic because when you modify the aspect ratio of the slide, it means the existing content may get skewed or require a bunch of tweaking to get it re-aligned. Another way to get the text into your slide is by reading it out loud to transcribe it and insert into your slide. PowerPoint transcribes the text and adds it to the slide. Once it’s ready to go live, they need to be removed from the slide. This gets rid of them, but if you need to go back and edit the slide, you need to recreate the references. Move them off the slide. How to insert the 3D model in PowerPoint: Create a slide and then select a 3D object. Duplicate the slide (we’ll need this for the video). The first slide is the starting point from which the 3D object rotates. The second slide is the rotation point. The second slide is the rotation point. Pretty slick, huh?

It was built using a three-slide PowerPoint file and exported as a video. Tutorial: how to create a three-slide video using 3D models in PowerPoint. The completion of the media (the video) triggers the layer to hide which takes us back to the base slide with the side tabs. Go to slide 1 in PowerPoint and save it as a.PNG image.
