In the context of e-Learning (back then it was just plain old CBT), this meant you had audio/video on the screen with timed text bullets. The learner could listen to the audio if her preferred style was auditory, OR read the text if her preferred style was visual. Im with you. I always tune out the audio and read ahead.

Within higher ed, Im sure well continue to see growth in online, but it is starting to plateau a bit. I like the idea of online being an option for K-12 students, even if it isnt the right thing for everyone.
