SaaS authoring tool vendors continue to include analytical data as an option in their platform. Otherwise, they will follow the route of Learn.com.

They have always been quite secure, which reminds me, more systems are emphasizing in their marketing materials, that their SaaS platforms are secure, with some even stating the level of security, i.e. 256 bit AES. I should note that there is one vendor who has their entire mobile platform on a USB jump drive. Extended Enterprise.

I feel bad for the folks who were learn.com, then thought Taleo would improve it, then Oracle. I just think there a way too many better platforms out there. Unless you like this type of platform, then yeah, it’s the best of them out there (but they are not an LMS). Super robust platform – has it all. .

Perhaps they will also pitch LMS365 too, which is their other platform. Anyway, social exists in the platform, along with a built in authoring tool and the system is SCORM course standard. . IMO Cornerstone is more of a HCM (Human Capital Management) platform. The system was in my top 50 in 2015 and 2014. Now I don’t.

It’s become quite clear that Apple (Steve Jobs) is going to block putting Flash on these platforms. Last week, Dave Wilkins of Learn.com wrote a piece entitled “ A Defense of the LMS (and a case for the future of social learning) ”. platform coming sometime in Q3 2010. But it’s pretty clear that even Adobe sees the problem here.
