Lots of people like to use templates to start a project. Guide layers allow you to put instructional text that won’t appear in the published swf file. Create Folders in the Library. The library can get crowded very quickly. Create folder in the library to help separate the assets. Lock Layers.

Beware: the embedded movie is a SWF, you need a browser with enabled Flash Player to watch that movie. Everything worked fine for SWF output also in later versions. That means it will be automatically created when import or drag this action to the Library of a new project. in a future post.

Hi there, I have a bit of a niche question regarding using the GSAP javascript library within Captivate. I should add I’m working in Captivate 9 and working in a non-responsive project (no breakpoints or fluid boxes. Initially I thought this might have to be exported as a SWF).

Clicking on export will export the Captivate project to a FLA file. Along with the FLA file, any dependent SWF files or ActionScript files will be placed in the same folder as the FLA file. We have restructured the library based on the items. Otherwise it will not load all the dependent swf files.

I recommend to download the example published file , from that article, or watch it (as SWF output) if you are using a Flash enabled browser on a desktop or laptop. It will have the default template ‘Blank’ on top, but also the name of all shared actions in the project. That same button can be found in the Library.
