I got a Google Wave invite and didn’t really know what to do. I was quite lost when I first logged on. Here’s what you can do when you get a Google Wave invite. Start a wave thanking the person who sent the invite. think the Contact list shows your Google contacts who already have Wave account. I am assuming this since Wave showed me only my limited contacts.

My current thoughts on Google Wave - A Wave needs to be focused focused focused. I am finding the broader waves become very disorganized and hard to follow very quickly. Using the playback to view the most recent is awkward - especially for the larger wave. The larger waves load very slowly. In the Wave - John Schulz brought up an excellent point.

So I managed to get Google Wave invites for the other 2 members of our LMS Administration team. figured that Wave would help us improve our collaboration process - which currently consists of Elluminate or Virtual Classroom when we have the license space + teleconference (because not everyone has a working mic on their computers) + a word doc + multiple emails. Check out Google Wave. Google Wave does something similar with content. Wave makes it extremely easy to do that within a browser environment (reference website has been built using Google Web Toolkit, GWT). Wave also provides a mechanism to add additional attributes such as those for privacy, tags (metadata) and workflow making it extremely malleable as a data structure. The Wave takes collaboration to a whole new level. There are many people thinking along these lines, Gabor Cselle, for one talk about how to build a business using Wave , and he has some pretty viable suggestions. There are going to be many more ideas around the Wave in the coming days as more people come to grips with a new mental model of working online.

We had great Corporate Presentations on Wednesday , the students did a Fantastic Job on Thursday and on Friday, Dr. Doll gave a great presentation highlighting Google Wave.
