20 Saba Learning Suite. While the pricing is outrageous and the Saba as a whole seems better suited as a HCM, their learning suite is a better alternative than those who want Cornerstone OnDemand. The downside to Panopto is its lack of skinning and the dual logo. Hopefully this will change. . #20 19 WBT Top Class .

They do not get access to the code, mind you, just the algorithm provides the flexibility, otherwise, the vendor is telling you, they know more about your training or L&D then you – I really dislike that philosophy. Saba Cloud – Saba is such a wild card here. Saba was once a kingpin in the industry, then dropped down, now, I think they are on the upswing again, so it is a system to keep on an eye on. Two minuses for me though is lack of mobile apps (everyone does mobile responsive) and is miss on stronger analytical data and data visualization, which while the system does provide solid reporting and analytics, the way the world is heading in the corporate space, a system needs more to match it. I identify the Big Dogs as SumTotal by Skillsoft (yes, that is the actual name), Cornerstone OnDemand, Saba, SucessFactors and Oracle Taleo (although, I ask myself who is using this and if you still are why?). However, I will say this: I like what Saba is doing. The system still – equally as Saba – needs some work.

Content marketplace/exchange – Multiple off-the shelf content providers, some are free, most are fee-based. Most LXPs, you (on the back-end) can see the off-the-shelf content providers in the marketplace and then move forward and choose to put into the system (via free) or buy and then it goes into the system.

I had a discussion with Linkedin Learning and found out that they provide only ONE demonstration per customer. Saba ties their one to their LRS and can capture the page. Think of it this way. I say this, because when I talked to them, I was provided with different responses to what they were (i.e. Add a use case, provide some basics, and start the conversation. If you want to buy a learning system that is noted as “Enterprise” and you are providing your learning – i.e. training for your customers, you can still buy the system. I wouldn’t touch the Saba solution, which has another alphabetical salad of letters, because CBX is significantly better.

The fact of the matter is that any learning system can provide you with skill gap analysis (and have since the late 90s), and any system can provide you with leadership development too (you just have to create the curriculum path, etc.) – in other words, all these items have existed, and no one then referred to it as performance management.
