LMS Products of the Year 2010. A lot of great products out there this year, new updates and latest versions; new companies, new services and just some real innovation. If you are seeking TM as your focus and you want one of the big dogs – I found Plateau’s system to offer appropriate functionality for it, but found some real concern in other areas (see my product review). You can move the slides – what Mindflash.com calls “pages&# in their product – around the timeline as you can the elements. This is easily accomplished in Mindflash.com’s course creation product. In the beta version of the product, Mindflash.com included T/F, yet for the final version removed it.

While I had some exciting expectations when I jumped into the product, by the end of it all, I felt drained. The approach and logical behind the lesson, stylebuilder and ecoursebuilder fail and while the lesson – approach may be useful to academia, its downside is that you do not start as a course (common), but as a lesson (in their product).

does not work with a 64 bit Windows OS that has/and you using PowerPoint 2010 – since Snap! interfaces directly with the product (ribbon? is not the only product which has an issue with a 64 bit Windows computer but in combination with PPT 2010, I’m unaware of any other.

Most of my friends have a really hard time figuring out what I do for a living. Somehow, we started referring to it as a Chandler Bing job, because on Friends nobody could quite figure out what he did, either. If you ask Wikipedia, Instructional Design (also called Instructional Systems Design (ISD) ) is the practice of maximizing the effectiveness, efficiency and appeal of instruction and other learning experiences. I don’t use that at cocktail parties – for obvious reasons.
