Im concerned that women will be excluded if such a focus is put on gaming skills -- or at least the gamer label. Im just raising some questions. I guess Im saying the focus should be less on "gaming" and more on use of new technology (social networking sites, gadgets, etc.) I dont have a conclusion here.

I think Im somewhat of an anomaly in the field. Maybe Im not an instructional designer at all. Rapid e-Learning tools, like Articulate , change the amount of actual technical skill an ID would need within such a group. My company creates customized course development templates for organizations. I dont build courses.
