Linkedin Learning Product Review

Administration back-end – Navigation is good, some of the features such as Best Practices from LinkedIn Learning is illogical (especially since in my test, because only one best practice had anything of use for the administrator (from the product or value add standpoint). Mute became your new friend.

Product Review – Percipio by Skillsoft

Percipio though can accept AICC, SCORM, xAPI and CMI-5 (win!). Same issue with 3rd party content – right now if you have 3rd party content yourself and want to take it in Percipio, you must connect via a link. Culling i.e. removing outdated content and/or updating isn’t really there.

Ability to offer ads for products or ads to specific sections for folks to visit – for each child (sub-portal) - yes – every child can be skinned to look a different way then the parent. SCORM, AICC. Admin side – simple to find sections, easy drill down. Can list “feature” courses.

Course Standards: Where R We Heading?

At one time, you could be “certified” with AICC and yes certified with SCORM, but why would you want to be? I’ve never heard someone say, “Sheesh, I need an LMS that is SCORM certified, or what your authoring tool is not AICC certified? I still see course libraries that are only AICC. Here is my take.
