This year didn’t do awards format – wanted it to be a sharing format for attendees to show what they do. Innovative use of mobile technology. I suppose these types of games may actually add to the learning experience by providing repetition of learning points, but to call these games immersive or addictive? She taught me the basics of instructional design, although looking back it wasnt much: Instruct, Demo, Practice, Assess. Of course, I am expected to provide my ID perspective/expertise to the other team members but, I will never have to figure out how to create a graphic element or program an interaction. Lots of simulations.

I wish I could share samples at this point, but everything proprietary to my client. :( @ Dave.the logic behind NOT providing the vendor with access to the software astounds me too. My word "template" consists of a few tables with color coding for audio, or software demos, etc. But its oh so common for these big corporate-types.

I've seen some demos of the reporting customizations our team is doing on Moodle and it does provide a lot of what is needed. They comfort managers who think they are in control but don't provide any guidance on making improvements. I do know that reporting is crucial.

Ive visited SL and have seen several demos of it, but my gut reaction has always been, "This is a guy thing." Hey Nicole, Thanks for stopping by and providing some input. Im a major geek, yet I avoid Second Life and continue to be skeptical about its use in elearning. In my case, it does seem to be a gender issue.

We imagine providing the same tools to subject matter experts that we expect instructional designers to use, and asking them to be a one person show.
