The main reason was that such simulation tools are not always used for developing just any type of learning but focused on training content creation for a specific software application or system. Unlike screen capturing tools, the published output is not just a passive video, but is in a fully interactive format such as Flash SWF.

I started in computers when DOS (Disk Operating System) was at its peak, I still remember knowing all the commands and I thought it was the coolest thing ever invented. HTML5 — This is a no-brainer for me and I strongly believe every Rapid eLearning tool should absolutely have a simple way to get a course published to HTML5 in 2012.

I don't know if I've seen this reported by the eLearningGuild , but their reports showed some interesting information about satisfaction levels reported by members on course authoring and rapid eLearning tool satisfaction levels. Update June 2008 - added one free flash quiz tool based on a question I received. Unfortunately, it didn't tell me how they produced output and the desire was for self-contained Flash. And, Quizmaker allows you to track your results with your standards based Learning Management System as Quizmaker output is SCORM and AICC compliant.
