I am still surprised on how vendors who are offering assessment only tools are staying in the game. Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. One vendor focuses only on Blackberry (not just Playbook but their smartphone like product). Vendor adoption is slow.

I said it when it game out and I will repeat it again. Game Changer! Sure, other vendors will say you can do that too, but you have to open each object file to get it. 264 codec, which the iPad supports, and a few browsers for HTML5. Game based learning. Many vendors hyping PowerPoint to Flash angle as key feature.

I never found course creating on par with playing an X-Box game. Mobile Player app – Major stinker. “Upload your content to a web server, you just give your learners a link to the story.htm file” – This is to view the course in HTML5 on your iPad. Player – edit the player properties.

Rather than go into a whole diatribe about CMI-5, I recommend you read this info on CMI-5 (put together in part from vendor RISC). Thus by saying Tin Can repeatedly, I was doing you an injustice, since in essence I was putting out a brand name by one vendor. I expect an increase in the number of LMS vendors to have responsive.

Answer: We keep a list of all the products and vendors we’re aware of that are adopting xAPI at./adopters. I talked to some airline pilot trainers who have put xAPI into their LMS…iPads and love it! xAPI also allows the tracking of things that aren’t web pages, games, mobile apps, simulations, webinars, classroom attendance, etc.
