But I firmly believe that this journey Im on is giving me the experience and educational equivalent (if not better) than a formal M.Ed. Ive been looking into the learning styles theory a bit the last few days, after having a humble learning moment. Theories do not help us to expand our awareness and understanding of learning; they serve to reduce and confine it.

Im no Facebook super-user and I havent experienced a huge time suck from it, but I suppose its possible. Cammy, Im just a "lite" Facebook user, but I have seen profile pages that list their workplaces with commentary about how horrible their company is, or how much they hate their job. This hasnt gotten onto my radar before -- Im not sure if there are any state-funded online programs in Massachusetts. Within higher ed, Im sure well continue to see growth in online, but it is starting to plateau a bit. I like the idea of online being an option for K-12 students, even if it isnt the right thing for everyone.

Im concerned that women will be excluded if such a focus is put on gaming skills -- or at least the gamer label. Dona was an early Atari employee (and the only woman at the time) and spoke about women in the gaming industry and provided some specific ideas for getting girls and women more involved in games and gaming. than Gamer 4.0.

Level 4 Eval traditionally done during Learning Outcomes (there were a lot more things on his chart, but Im not that fast and it was somewhat complicated.) Great summary of ideas. Belatedly, Im thinking that there are relatively easy ways to enable learners to have cake or to eat it as they see fit.
