I wrote scenario based questions that were about context and concepts -- not rote memorization skills. Cammy: Although I like to think Im good-humored, I am leery of "humor" or "fun" (scare quotes are deliberate) injected into training like salt water into a frozen turkey. Im concerned that women will be excluded if such a focus is put on gaming skills -- or at least the gamer label. Im just raising some questions. If you dont have the skills, you may hit a few walls. Im looking for some contractors, and Im far more likely to consider someone with a website, blog, Flickr site, etc.

The folks at Kineo wrote a piece on the future of rapid e-learning tools, summarizing "our view is to give potential authors [SMEs] some easy to use but well structured templates which will give instructional integrity to how they develop their learning." If youre providing SMEs with the templates, Im not sure theyll be altering them.

Im not sure if the SME was reading a script, reading the notes, or just speaking from the heart. They said it "sounded more real" and they trusted it more because they knew this person was talking from experience. Not the best quality sound, but who really cares when you're listening over your crappy laptop speakers anyway.

Im a linear reader in recovery and have been actively learning how to skim books and not feel guilty about it.
