by AJ George  Last week  I showed you how to animate a picture in PowerPoint so that it came in as a puzzle, piece by piece. On the slide, right-click one of the puzzle pieces and choose  Format Object. Select everything on the slide (press [ Ctrl ] [ A ]). That was cool.

Your plan needs to adapt, so you're thinking you'll simply duplicate the image a few times and then make each copy a bit more transparent than the previous one.

Using motion paths in PowerPoint is fun, but also kind of complicated. Probably the most complicated aspect of using motion paths is continuing the motion from slide-to-slide. You want an image on your slide to move using a custom motion path. Duplicate this slide ([Ctrl-D]).

This slide above took less than five minutes to build. All I did was drag and drop the downloaded images from Design Comics and slap a text box on it. You could also ditch the comic idea altogether and just use these images as part of any eLearning course, even one with branching.   Easy, fast, looks nice, FREE. .

You've just completed a very slick PowerPoint presentation. On one slide you have an image fade in. Then when you click the image, it hyperlinks to another slide. But then the client contacts you and says they'd like to swap the image with another. After it fades in, it pulses for emphasis.

I wanted to animate the boat below so it "sailed" onto the slide. Naming all of the elements on your slide will help you keep them straight.
