If you forgot, you ended up with an ugly thick grey bottom border on all slides. I suppose all developers are aware that the final death of Flash Player, SWF output will be there sooner than expected. As indicated in this image, never use Play Slide as Preview, only for synchronizing on the timeline. Preview Methods.

Current solution: This seems to be associated with publishing as a swf – either in combination (swf/html5) or swf only. Problem: Inconsistent or missing Slide Titles using the placeholder. We’re now only publishing as html5. Problem: No Project Title – when a project is being published, the title is missing. .

One of my most visited blog posts published 7 years ago (Captivate 5, 5.5) is Where is Null? Beware: the embedded movie is a SWF, you need a browser with enabled Flash Player to watch that movie. Everything worked fine for SWF output also in later versions. That part described in the old blog post is still valid !

A second Issue im Having ist that suddenly, 2) my preview (full project) and published versions only show slides 1-10 and the rest of the slides (approx. The blog [link] concludes that somehow the other index files (multiscreen.html etc.) When i delete the.pdf,swf data from the zip, nothing will start.

I developed a document on which I listed the slide number, screen title, type of slide (static vs. interactive), any type of interaction, and any external links that were on the screen. A couple of years ago i wrote a short blog about dynamic buttons. I first thought this to be a limitation of HTML5 (first article was for SWF output) and tested it out. The demo file has two TEB’s on the second slide. The Next (shape) button on the first slide is timed for the rest of the project.

Meanwhile lot has changed in Adobe Captivate: new simple actions were added, multistate objects appeared, shape buttons became possible with InBuilt states and custom states. in January 2018 it’s no wonder that Adobe is finally pulling the plug on Flash at the end of 2020. As there is so much Flash content out there in the world, you’d be forgiven for assuming that Adobe would provide a replacement to make sure this Flash content will still work after 2020.
