In 2012 it has been all about collaborative/peer review with authoring products, and it still will be in 2013, but the avatars/actors with/without backgrounds are going to be in “fuego” Where can it go? A colleague of mine attended a session this past week at ATD that covered LMS, LXP and LCMS (why LCMS was included? Degreed for one, a system I do like, does not allow you to upload your own content from a 3rd party authoring tool. The linking angle by the way is more common that you think, a minus in my opinion.

When I was at LTUK a couple of weeks ago, a vendor who was giving a presentation, showed a slide with Learn.com on it, as though their tool worked with it or something like that, uh Learn.com hasn’t been around in like five plus years. Assessment tool, integrations such as Google Drive, Zapier and Office 365 are pluses.

If you want to do testing, use something that already links to a tool that feeds your Oracle or SAP behemoth. Drupal can be a little tougher to crank up, but they're coming on stream as well.

I love this trend, because it clearly says that the rapid content authoring tool vendors are becoming innovative and are seeing the market. People do this all the time, with web conferencing solutions that are not integrated into their system, or video being streamed on another server, etc. Bonus Trend.
