I like how you really extended the metaphor, Cammy, and I most definitely agree that instructional design isnt brain surgery. I like the analogy Michele Martin uses: instructional design as cooking. Nevertheless, their voices are deeply etched in my brain, and I could have picked any of them out of a lineup if we were going by voice and not visual.
