Two things always stand out during these trips: There is no one way to do elearning. Some people build courses, some create marketing material, and some use the rapid elearning software to create multimedia information. Where can I get free elearning assets? You don’t need print-quality images for elearning courses. You don’t need print-quality images for elearning courses. I usually get my images from Fotolio or iStockphoto but there are dozens of good stock image sites. They also have some free stuff on their site.

Previously we looked at how to create free text-to-speech narration using a free application. The audio quality is decent enough for those who need the text-to-speech audio. The first 5 GB is free and after that, it’s very inexpensive. And odds are you won’t go past the initial free allocation.

Good audio is critical to your elearning success. But it all falls apart if the audio quality in your course is not very good. Invest in a good quality microphone. A good mic is going to give you good audio quality. Personally, I prefer a desktop mic because it gives me more control over the audio quality.
