An LMS can do everything an LXP can do (depending on the vendor), and the combo LMS/LXP angle is a mish-mash of whatever a vendor thinks an LXP is (in reality, there are only a few that are legit combo – Juno Journey is one).  Some weird concoction that a vendor has devised is another.  This makes no sense to me.

What I like about conferences is the ability to see the latest products and hear the pitches from the vendors. Regardless, you need to have your product out and showing. Yet, for all that do it, their are equal number of vendors who do not. their own sales folks) and type of product they are pitching.

A Look Back at 2020 for E-Learning

From a vendor perspective there was a huge impact, but what was odd, is that some vendors still are living in the past, as though, this is a minor blip, and in 2021, everything will go back as it was – corporate wise that is. Sorry to disappoint – but it won’t. . that needed a system. I know it seems odd.

2010 LMS Products of the Year

LMS Products of the Year 2010. A lot of great products out there this year, new updates and latest versions; new companies, new services and just some real innovation. The product is Flash based, which is nice, but lack of mobile optimization for the iPad. These standout to me. Categories. Saba does a good job as well.

Apparently, the potential customers and even clients are speaking and those vendors are listening. Not just a few vendors, the industry as a whole. That smartphones were the answer to mobile learning.

One possibly good side product will be that total learner hours shouldn’t be a primary metric. I know this doesn’t make sense.

Product Review: Saba Social

Saba Social is a very solid product, that despite a few hiccups and “huh&# moments, achieves what it sets out to do, provide a user friendly social experience. Generally speaking, nothing innovative – there is so much potential there and it is wasted – I mean this can be a really awesome product, but they missed the boat.
