Since I couldn't read it at the same time I was presenting, it was amazing how much conversation was going on among the participants. I just saw this post - eLearning 2.0 - I'm tring to DO IT - that's a response to my post eLearning 2.0 - Go DO IT. I got back from the conference and started this blogging and not only that but I'm keeping it up. It because a little addictive though. The more I read and learn the more I want to express and share. Way to go Tracy! That's great.

KM 2.0, Enterprise 2.0 & eLearning 2.0 Worlds Getting Closer

Tony Karrer

For a while, I've been trying to figure out how eLearning 2.0 relates to KM 2.0 and Enterprise 2.0 - certainly there is a LOT of cross-over between what's being discussed. Well funny enough, it turns out that: DevLearn 2007 & KM World 2007 are both in San Jose, Nov. Even both in the downtown area. Maybe we can recruit some of the KM bloggers who are attending to come join us for Beer and Bloggers on Nov. If we don't do something, it seems like a horribly missed opportunity

Looking Back at 2007

Tony Karrer

In December 2006, I posted my challenges and predictions for 2007. Biggest challenges for 2007? I could answer this as the biggest challenges for Learning Professionals generally, and maybe I'll come back and do that, but for now, let me just write what I see as some of my bigger challenges in 2007. I found several very high quality developers at several levels in 2007. I've been doing a lot of work on custom content delivery and even more on the implications of Web 2.0 This continues to be a challenge, but I'm way ahead of where I was starting 2007.

Isn't this what eLearning 2.0 I saw Henry Jenkins speak at the eLearningGuild's Annual Gathering and I must confess that I was a bit critical. Henry was great at introducing the concepts of participatory culture - but he didn't really get into the implications of what this meant for all of us. So, I am very glad that George pointed me back here, because this gets into exactly what I was hoping for from him. While Henry focuses primarily on students, the question is really important to all of us. In other words, in a world with Wikipedia, blogs, social networking, etc. -

The first workshop of the day was eLearning 2.0, I attended my first day of DevLearn and needless to say ideas are bouncing around my head like a pinball. This is my attempt to get it all out before I forget. presented by Tony Karrer. I'm currently researching Wiki's for my organization so I was going into this presentation hoping to come out with a lot of ideas of how they can be used. Tony provided some great information regarding Wiki's and the audience had some great examples of how they are being used at their organizations. Feature creep is my worst enemy.

The brain supports heavy parallel processing capabilities, which means we (unlike current computer systems) can, in mere seconds, recognize complex patterns within images. Our brain and visual systems recognize shapes, colors, situational context and extremely fine details better than almost any other cognizant process we perform. Fact, Fad or Fiction?
