Kodak embraced them to a point, but kept their initial camera products. Basically if it is SCORM compliant, it will work. One package the support is 8 to 5, M-F and e-mail support. E-Learning 24/7. I can’t figure out if it is the “Kodak Syndrome&#. Kodak was the king kong of film and cameras.

That is to say, the vendor did not take the time to either create a template to show the product OR did not spend a few minutes going to client’s web site and using their colors and logo. That is why, many folks walk away from the product. I am a huge fan of demos – whether they be face to face or via the internet.

It features templates, supports SCORM and supports English, French and Arabic. 19 Zenler Studio - I liked this product last year (2012) and I still find it quite favorable.

Mzinga’s OmniSocial product sort of fits the build, but it lacks some components, to what I see as a true system, specifically 100% standalone, since it can also be integrated into a LMS or used in their own LMS. I will admit that the one of the best products I have seen this year, does what I am listing above - SCORM Cloud.

Because if you are using a content authoring tool that is SCORM 2004, then you must find a system that is at least 2004. SCORM is backward compatible, not forward. . The product comes in two flavors – a simple and a more robust. SaaS product – but here’s the thing – if you want the course to be in your LMS – it can but it still sits on the ZZ server side and not in your system (should note that the LMS connectivity is available only in the $40/u version).
