I mentioned in my post 2009 Predictions How Did I Do? I particularly cited a DevLearn demo of twitter being embedded inside Captivate as the basis of a social learning experience. They’ve posted on the Adobe Captivate blog - Collaborative learning using Captivate and Twitter. You can run a demo (18 mins) to see it in action.

I’m always cognizant of what Ellen Wagner (formerly with Adobe) said while writing about web conferencing technologies around the time Blackboard bought Wimba and Elluminate and combined them to create Blackboard Collaborate (for edu-types, I’ll insert the ‘muwhahahaha’ just for you). Adobe in not an elearning company.

One, CliniSpace , had a nice interface and from the demo appears to have an easy to use authoring mode. See What Adobe has Been Doing With HTML5. Adobe's Project Rome. Adobe Museum of Digital Media (AMDM). ► 2009. (2). Several organizations shared the tools used develop these virtual worlds. Awesome Inc.

Captivate then serves as the aggregator- allowing users to easily reach out to the asset creation tools in the Adobe eLearning Suite to flesh out the content. Tech support folks can quickly build and email short "how-to" demos to users. Patti goes on to review Captivate 4 and gives it the 4 star rating (outstanding).

On the last day, following the website demos, the event sponsors showed their appreciation for the estimated $100,000 worth of work, by having a drawing for numerous prizes from t-shirts to the Master Collection of Adobe CS5.
