I suggest creating lessons that a learner can finish within five minutes, which typically translates to around 80-100 interactive slides. If you publish your Captivate projects as SWFs, you can combine multiple SWF files into one lesson using the Aggregator. we still offer two online classes for Captivate 4, Beginner and Advanced.

you'll be giving your learners an easy way to navigate through the lesson.   Of course, adding a TOC to your lesson comes with a cost. you'll be adding a few hundred pixels to the overall width of your lesson. If your lesson is already quite wide, the TOC isn't going to help.

When the publish process is complete, you will end up with three files: an HTML file (which is what your learner will need to open the lesson in a web browser), a JavaScript file (called standard.js) and the SWF containing your lesson.  It would also mean that your lesson might not work correctly with your LMS.

You can turn it off with a simple edit of your published lesson's.html file. Tabbing will cycle through objects in the lesson but not jump out to your browser. when it works. How frustrating!

If you do stop the recording process, you'll likely need to spend the time to undo everything you recorded (which could be a painful process) and re-record the lesson from the beginning. But if you stop the recording, the rest of your lesson won't be captured, which is something that would be a disaster.
