Or they send the RFP after a discussion, but before seeing the product. It hurts everyone. Did the vendor ask?

Sure you can watch a video on Salesforce CRM or Lotus 1-2-3, but people learn best when the content is interactive and mimics the product. I know of a well-known content provider who still has content from the early 2000’s sitting on their servers (along with more recent content). Bottom Line. Don’t just think about today.

Back in 2000, the knock on rapid content authoring tools were they “pre-template” driven solutions. Simply put, one vendor has over 200 Flash-based templates in their product.

I’ve been there – well, not hating it – I always thought it was the way to go (even in 2000). Think of learner projections in the same way you look at deliverable of products sold. Again, if you plan to use PowerPoint as part of your course builds, and you have Office 2000, you might be out of luck.
