I have been a Camtasia fan for a long time, as well as a SnagIt and Jing fan and I’m also very impressed with the work TechSmith is doing on Mobile. You can watch this interactive video (link below) on your desktop PC, iPad and iPhone (may be prompted to install the Smart Player app) and all the interactivity should work just fine.

In this day and age, kids have hover-boards, our iPhones have facial recognition, and self driving cars are being introduced to the public.

A native app is software written for mobile devices for performing a specific task, e.g. a game, calendar, music player, etc. This means you have to build different apps for different phones e.g. the iPhone, Blackberry, Samsung SIII etc. and runs on the device’s operating system.

And, after all, I am on the stump about mobile learning. And I reflected a lot about the potential learning applications of this new platform. Given that I already have an iPhone, which would meet immediate email, twitter, and/or web needs when not in WiFi range, I figured I could go with the first one coming out.

It’s almost unknown, however, for me to actually win, but that’s actually the case a month or so ago when I put a comment on a blog prior to the MacWorld show, and won a copy of Navigon turn-by-turn navigation software for my iPhone. We’ll see next time. What’s their EPSS?

The iPad is all the awesomesauce of the iPhone in a larger form factor for doing the things I CAN do, but DON'T LIKE to do, on my iPhone. Let's start with playing music. I'm talking about replacing paper sheet music with the iPad. I can't read a score…even a one-pager on my iPhone while jamming with the band.

Mobile learning (mlearning) has been around for a long time and I remember seeing the first mlearning course on a ‘Palm’ PDA in 2002. Mobile Banking – 28%. Web Browsing – 66%.

I use Twitter, but there is no way, I see it as a learning tool. But HE has a very poor track record of using them when it comes to mobile learning. I must have missed the learning tech beyond a smartwatch whose sales are not great. Fretello – Mobile app which teaches you have to play a musical instrument.
