Say goodbye to search. Try a tool – you can’t use them all – try something for a while and see what works. Find the tool that speaks to you. Information is knowledge and learning. Unless it’s just in a big pile – then it looks like junk. Need to make information digestible for people when and where they need it. Google yourself.

In Brandon Hall’s research, haven’t talked to a single LMS vendor who is NOT adding these tools. Used Ektron ( www.methodfactory.com ) a content management system – which allowed search, tagging, RSS, links, blogs, polls, surveys. Polls, blogs, search (similar to chrysler). Not every single tool needs 100% participation.

Now that I have ID experience on my resume, I found job searches to be much easier than when I was first making the transition and had more to prove. I would have thought it was easier to search out as a student. We decided that having a degree in a related field was a good weeding tool and I have never regretted that decision.
