Video has been a passion of mine for a number of years. We all now watch tonnes of online video – if I want to know how to do something I’ll generally search YouTube before I search Google. These reasons are becoming eroded and it’s easier than ever to grab a camera and shoot some instructionally effective video. I could go on.

I then publish and upload to our video hosting site. I generally aim to get it 80% right in the initial recording. In Screenflow, I then tidy up the timing and rerecord any of narration I’m not happy with. Tips for success. Here are some ideas for the sorts of resources you can develop cheaply and quickly: Screencasts – short videos that capture what you are doing onscreen along with your voice. Animated videos – you could use these to get across key points of a topic, give an overview of a subject or explain a diagram or process.
